Trends, Obsessions, and Petrilude

All righty then, it's time for trends, obsessions, and petrilude. <3

TRENDS

OK, soooo everyone knows how amazingly awesome and risk taking J Star is. Buttt in this picture--->

The queen is totally rocking one of the hottest trends right now. SEQUINSSSSS. so we all know Audrey has already done it....for years. But now more and more people are jumping on the sequin bandwagon. Coach's new "Poppy" line features a bunch of sequin studded accessories, shoes, and bags! Among my faves are the coin purse,  the new ballet flats and the ahhhmazing sequin xl spotlight. This is bag I would take everywhere!

Also, in the heat of summer everyone is trying to cool down. With really awesome graphic tee-shirts, such as these from Delia's and Alloy.com everyone can look adorable for under $30! Cheap is always nice, but you know you're getting good quality when you buy from either of these brands =]

(delia's both around $24)

 (alloy.com, both under $27)

PLAID. It is freaking everywhere i go and I lurveeee it! I went into Kohl's the other day and was pleasantly surprised to see that Brit Brit's new Candie's collection has plaid! And it looks good! I myself think plaid is here to stay, or should at least stick around for a while. <3

 (kohl's $42)    (alloy.com $45-47)

Lastly, I am loving the ring trend! I think I own over a dozen myself! I usually get mine from a little boutique in Nashville called Pandora, but places like Forever 21, Fred Flare,  and Claire's have some cute cheap ones too! I even found a few giant cocktail rings at my local Michael's Craft Store!

(forever 21 $5) (fred flare around $5)

Make Up Trends

All I can say in purple purple purple! That goes for the nails too! Purple is a color that everyone can play with! It looks great on eyes, lips, and nails. Even put a little in your hair if you want! Also matte nail polish is super in right now. Petrilude has a tutorial on his youtube about this.

Speaking of Make Up This Brings Me To Petrilude <3

Petrilude is this amazing guy named Josh who is on youtube.com doing some of the best make up tutorials I have ever come by. He is so uber talented, and to top it off he is one of the prettiest people I've ever seen. Josh gives great advice for everything from contouring and highlights to false lashes and lipsticks. Here are a few of his looks, just to give you a taste!

seee? amazing! he is on youtube here --->  http://www.youtube.com/user/petrilude?blend=1&ob=4

Obsessions

Right, so like everyone and their mother I am obsessed with Twitter. I feel the need to always let the 40 people following me what i'm doing, even though half of them are already next to me bahaha. But it doesn't matter I'm always like, oh gotta twitter that! lmfao you can find me on twitter here ----> http://twitter.com/allisonclover

Also, painting my nails. Recently i've painted them like 80 billion times. in the last week. I keep changing my mind and think orange will be better than purple or that green could look better than plain 'ole red. It is kinda crazy the amount of nail polish remover I am going through right now!!

The Maine. Alright, not gonna lie. I love love love their music. It just makes me happy. I'm not a crazed obsessed tween-girl who wants to marry john o or pat, but I did get a kick out of seeing them at warped with their moms in line to have their stuff signed(the girls). XD

As always, sushi. I can't get enough. I feel like i'm making all sorts of crazy runs to where ever I can find it in the city. I swear that is where most of my money goes. No Joke. Last night we went to the best place in Nashville and let me just say, delish!

Lastly, polyvore.com it is soooo cool. you can make your own outfits out of pieces other people(including myself and others) have submited from websites, magazines, etc. for reals, some sweet shit, you can put all sorts of crazy stuff together and see how it could turn out! I love it!

alright! that covers everything I think, though i would like to throw in the fred flare purple haze smocked dress just for kicks, because it is soooo cute!

well i'm off to bed loves!

July 30, 2009

Wared in ATL 09 & Mercy Lounge with Erin McCarley and Paulo Nutini

So I headed to Warped Tour in Atlanta on Tuesday. Let me say, some of the best money spent on tickets ever. Even though it was scorching hot, I mean blistering, I still managed through the day and it turned out to be totally worth my while. After standing in line for about thirty minutes we got into the amphitheater. I saw John O from The Maine walking into the venue through the artist entrance and was too scared to stop him and ask for a picture. I'm still kicking myself for it.=[ But As soon as I got in and paid for the two dollar concert schedule(rip off, there is board with all the times on it near the main stage) I found out The Maine was playing in like 5 minutes. So Taylor and I rushed over to the Hurley stage and caught them just in time. It was wayyyy to hot to jump, but we had a bunch of fun listening any way. The Pour Some Sugar on Me cover was great. John was a little hoarse, but it was still amazing. Thus beings Warped Tour. We wandered around, saw 3Oh!3 ( very good, entertaining as well with their swords hehe) and grabbed a few Monsters. There were sooo many people there. So after checking out Meg & Dia( wonderful set) and UnderOath( Amazing as well) I was tired of all the traveling lol. So we got in line to meet The Maine. Not totally worth the 30 minute wait, but it was still nice to have them sign one of the tee-shirts I bought. We were serenaded by Tat. The woman has a serious ego problem, but her music is ok. There is something about her voice that is a bit off and she seems snooty, but perhaps that is the british accent. After the wait we rushed over to see Hit the Lights (wonderful live, might i add). After that I searched for water. The water was so over priced, but I was dying, even though I had already taken out three bottles of my own already. So friends and I found a shady stop and listen to some of the more "hardcore" bands at a small stage. One in particular, Stella (i think if you know, please contact me), was really good. She sounds much like Haley from Paramore. I enjoyed her music. She has blonde hair with some color streak i think. So if you know who I'm talking about drop me a line. By this time we were all dying and needed to leave. I had been up since 5 anyway just to drive and so we hung out a little more in the shade and chilled. We left a little bit earlier than everyone else, didn't stay for the last few songs of All Time Low, though they were good, even if we did have to move because it was raining. I managed to snap a picture with Pat and Garrett from The Maine, which was rad. (I'll post it later when I find my camera). Over all Warped Tour 2009 was totally worth the sun poisoning, sore feet, bruises, and dehydration I got.

i got this with my phone, they said no pictures with the guys, so i figured it wasn't worth the time to get out my real camera lol, but pat looks happy lol

The next morning we headed back to Nashville and on the way found out Erin McCarley and Paulo Nutini were playing at the Mercy Lounge. So naturally we got tickets. I absolutely love Erin. She has a great look, a great voice, and sounds exactly the same as she does on her record. I have to give her two thumbs up last night at Mercy. She had the crowd going at a good pace as we all sang along. She also did an awesome cover of Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega. I got her to sign one of her posters and snapped a pic with her. She is super super super nice and very tiny lol. Then we got a few drinks and waited for Paulo to come out. He was great as well. The crowd was so ready for him, too lol. Over all the night ended early, around 11:30. but they were both great and I'm glad I didn't go sleep off warped instead of going. Now my friends, it is time to sleep off my very exciting few days.

Night Y'all

xoxo,

righto new account and what not

starting over!

so my old account (allisonclover) won't let me on anymore. it is weird and stupid but whatever, so if you were friends with me on that account just add me. i'm allison clover and i'm a make up artist and a bartender in the beautiful nashvegas. I'm 18 and also an aspiring singer. umm, I like singing, dancing, playing with make up, going to shows, bar tending, drinking haha, tattoos, piercings, etc. If you're looking for a great place to get some work done check out Electric Athena in Nashville near belmont. They are awesome people and they work there is phenomenal! Ask for Ben or Sheri, they will take care of you! I'm into bright colors, expressing myself and just living life to the fullest. I'm currently taking a gap year and am headed to Africa to work in some orphanages in august, so i'm into the whole volunteer thing. I'd love to change the world just a little bit if not on a grander scale. I'm an artist, mainly pencil, charcoal, acrylic, and some oil. I take photos as well, so in the art department, i'm set for life lol. I have a passion for music. Singing is a daily thing for me. I write my own songs, but also preform others. I love music, it is athe main thing moving my life in the direction it's going. No matter what you can always find a song that fits your mood. i love that. Right now i'm listening to The Maine. I'm headed to warped tour this summer in ATL. So hit me up if you're going as well! Pretty much i'm all over the place music wise, i like everything from alternative, indie rock, classic rock, 80's hair bands, classical, plain ole rock, some pop(not much here), a little bit of country (come on i live in Nashville), techno, soundtracks( bit of a musical fan), electronic, r&b, some rap, blues, oldies, hendrix(because he is a category in his own), dance, hip-hop, gospel, metal, post hard-core, industrial, punk, jazz, reggae <3, salsa, latin, vocal jazz(love mr. sinatra). you get the point. i love music. i'm really into expressing yourself through body modification, neon colored hair, some new age religion, chakras, auras and whatnot. so just let me know if need to know anything else. i'm pretty impressed at how much i wrote lol.so hit me up!

xoxo
